GRAY IRON CASTING PROCESS

Gray Iron is the most widely used of the foundry casting alloys. The characteristic gray color is due to flakes of graphite contained in the metal. Graphite helps to make the properties of gray iron excellent for machining, outstanding in wear resistance and high-vibration damping.
